Understanding the Issue
Figure 1 highlights the hyoid area, where double chin formation typically occurs with age. The muscles in this region form the diaphragm of the mouth (Figure 1-A), with the tongue exerting constant pressure on them. As these muscles weaken over time, the area sags, leading to a double chin (Figure 1-B).

Strengthening the Mouth Diaphragm Muscles:
The most effective way to eliminate a double chin is to restore muscle strength, volume, and tone through targeted exercises.
British Dr. John Mew introduced a method called Mewing, where you press your tongue firmly against the hard palate and repeat this action.
Here's a smoother version:
Despite its popularity, studies show that less than 25% of people achieve the desired results. This is because muscle tension usually does not exceed 30% of the maximum during the exercise. However, it is known that workouts only achieve results when muscles are tensed with a force of about 70% of the maximum.

Introducing NuviCor MEWING
NuviCor MEWING is a facial muscle exerciser. You perform an exercise, tense the desired muscles, and the device shows your muscle activity in real time. On your smartphone screen, a graphical task indicates how often and with how much force you should tense your muscles. This serves as your benchmark. Your task is to tense your muscles and adjust their tension according to the set benchmark.
Place the device in the hyoid area as shown in Figure 2.

Before you start training, you will be asked to do a muscle test (Fig. 3). After testing, the NuviCor MEWING app will make individual adjustments and suggest an adequate difficulty of the task.
Exercise Cycles with NuviCor MEWING
Fig. 4 shows the phone screen while performing one of the cycles (repetitions) of the first exercise.
Your task is to tense your muscles five times. The blue graph is the strength of your muscle tension.
The higher the graph, the harder the muscle is tensed. The red line is the strength of muscle tension with which you need to tense the muscle (about 70% of the maximum). You need to tense the muscle so that the blue graph rises above the red line.

When you do this exercise with your NuviCor MEWING device, you can easily get your muscles to tense at the right strength. Therefore, the effectiveness of the workout will be maximized.
Next, you will do two more exercises to develop all muscle types (tonic and phasic).

The second exercise does not require you to tense your muscles with great force.
You will need to tense your muscles by constantly coordinating their tension with the drawing on the screen. The line representing your muscle tension should go inside the squares as shown in Figure 5.
This task is not difficult, in terms of the strength of muscle tension. But it will require precision.
As in exercise #1, this exercise consists of several repetitive cycles with rest breaks.

The third exercise has the goal of developing muscle endurance. This is the ability to maintain muscle tone over a long period of time. To do this, you need to learn how to keep the muscle in a tense state for a long time.

In Exercise #3 you will not be watching a graph on a screen as in the previous exercises. You will be watching a movie (Fig. 6A). But the movie will be interrupted if the muscle tension is insufficient (Fig. 6B). To start the movie again, you need to increase the muscle tension a little.
This is not a difficult exercise. However, keep in mind that this is a very important stage of muscle training to increase muscle tone.

You can choose to watch any movie that interests you. The procedure for selecting movies or slides is described in the MANUAL. There you will also find a more complete description of all exercises.

If you can, repeat the exercise twice a day, and then after two weeks you are guaranteed to get a good result.
